UDA Ready for Repeat Phase III Grassroots Elections Across 18 Counties

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has announced its preparedness for the Repeat Phase III Grassroots Elections scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Addressing the media, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan, alongside the party’s National Elections Board (NEB) Chairperson Anthony Mwaura and other UDA Party Directors, assured members that all arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth, transparent, and credible electoral exercise.

The elections will commence at 8:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM, taking place across 18 counties in 8,819 polling centers. The process has drawn significant interest, with over 500,000 candidates contesting for twenty (20) positions available in each polling center.
According to the party leadership, the positions are structured to ensure inclusive representation of various groups within the party’s grassroots structure. These include youth, women, farmers, religious groups, professionals, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), MSMEs, and traders, alongside two representatives from either gender.
To ensure a seamless and transparent voting process, the party has deployed end-to-end technology, including 9,000 electronic voting tablets that will facilitate real-time management of the elections.

At the end of the exercise, a total of 180,000 grassroots officials will be elected, forming what the party describes as one of the largest grassroots political structures built directly from the people.

The party also confirmed that election results will be streamed live on its official website, www.uda.ke, allowing members and the public to follow the process in real time.
