Incoming Bungoma Woman Representative Aspirant Elizabeth Musungu's Manifesto
Elizabeth Musungu has presented herself as a development-focused leader seeking to serve the people of Bungoma County as the next Woman Representative. Her campaign is built around inclusive leadership, women and youth empowerment, improved access to education, better healthcare, and economic transformation. She has appealed to Bungoma residents to support her bid, promising accountable and people-centred leadership.
Her manifesto prioritises women's economic empowerment through the creation of self-help groups, access to affordable credit, entrepreneurship training, and support for small businesses. She says empowering women financially will strengthen families and boost the county's economy.
On education, Musungu pledges to increase bursary opportunities for needy students, promote vocational and technical training for young people, and advocate for improved learning facilities so that every child has a chance to succeed regardless of their background.
In the health sector, she promises to champion better maternal and child healthcare services, improve access to essential medicines, support health awareness programmes, and work with national and county governments to strengthen public health facilities.
For youth development, Musungu aims to create employment opportunities by supporting innovation, digital skills training, agribusiness, sports, and talent development. She believes young people should be equipped with practical skills that enable them to earn sustainable livelihoods.
Her manifesto also focuses on agriculture, recognising that farming is the backbone of Bungoma's economy. She has pledged to advocate for better markets, affordable farm inputs, value addition, and programmes that improve farmers' incomes.
Musungu further promises to be a strong voice in Parliament by advocating for improved infrastructure, clean water, environmental conservation, and policies that promote equality, transparency, and accountable use of public resources. She says her leadership will be guided by regular consultations with residents to ensure that development projects reflect the priorities of the people of Bungoma.
