I WILL BE THE PEACE OF KWANZA CONSTITUENCY IN DEVELOPMENTS.
Incoming Kwanza Constituency MP Aspirant Hon. Kipkoech Wren Unveils Development-Focused Manifesto
Hon. Kipkoech Wren, the incoming parliamentary aspirant for Kwanza Constituency, has outlined an ambitious manifesto centered on infrastructure development, economic empowerment, quality education, healthcare, and improved public service delivery.
Speaking during an interview with OTHERRANKS TV,Wren expressed concern over what he described as the slow pace of development in the constituency, saying many communities continue to face challenges due to poor infrastructure and inadequate access to essential government services.
He identified the state of the road network as one of the biggest obstacles to economic growth, noting that many roads become impassable during the rainy season, making it difficult for farmers to transport produce to markets and limiting access to schools and health facilities. Wren pledged to prioritize the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of roads to improve connectivity across the constituency.
The aspiring legislator also emphasized the need to improve access to clean and reliable water, electricity, and digital infrastructure, arguing that these are key drivers of economic growth and investment. He said better infrastructure would attract businesses, create employment opportunities for young people, and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
On education, Wren promised to advocate for increased bursary allocations to support students from vulnerable families. He also pledged to work with the national government and development partners to improve school infrastructure, equip learning institutions, and promote vocational training for youth.
Recognizing agriculture as the backbone of the constituency's economy, Wren committed to championing policies that support farmers through improved access to farm inputs, extension services, better markets, and value addition initiatives. He noted that empowering farmers would increase household incomes and strengthen the local economy.
In the health sector, he said he would push for better-equipped health facilities, increased medical personnel, and improved availability of essential medicines to ensure residents receive quality healthcare services closer to their homes.
Wren further promised to strengthen youth and women's empowerment by supporting entrepreneurship, expanding access to government empowerment funds, and creating opportunities for skills development and self-employment.
Calling for unity among residents, Wren said development can only be achieved through collective effort and inclusive leadership. He pledged to remain accessible, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the people if elected.
"I am committed to serving every resident of Kwanza Constituency without discrimination. My focus is on delivering practical solutions that improve livelihoods through better infrastructure, quality public services, and sustainable economic opportunities. Together, we can transform Kwanza into a model constituency for development," Wren said.
He concluded by assuring his constituents that his leadership would be people-centered, transparent, and driven by the goal of ensuring that every part of Kwanza Constituency benefits from meaningful and sustainable developments.
