INCOMING KIMILILI MP HON JOSHUA MAKOKHA'S MANIFESTO.

As he seeks to represent the people of Kimilili, Honourable Joshua Makokha has presented a people-centred manifesto focused on accelerating development, improving livelihoods, and ensuring inclusive leadership. His vision is anchored on accountability, economic empowerment, and delivering practical solutions to the everyday challenges facing residents.
A key pillar of his manifesto is infrastructure development. He has pledged to advocate for the construction and rehabilitation of roads connecting villages, markets, schools, and health facilities, while also pushing for improved access to clean water, electricity, and digital connectivity to support businesses and education.
On agriculture, Makokha promises to champion the interests of farmers by lobbying for affordable farm inputs, reliable extension services, better market access, and value-addition initiatives. He believes strengthening agriculture will boost household incomes and drive economic growth across Kimilili.
Youth and women empowerment also feature prominently in his agenda. He has committed to expanding access to technical and vocational training, supporting entrepreneurship through funding opportunities, and creating partnerships that generate employment for young people. He also intends to promote women's economic empowerment through skills development, access to credit, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In education, Makokha has pledged to increase support for students through bursaries and scholarships, improve learning facilities, and advocate for quality education that prepares learners for the modern job market.
His healthcare agenda includes improving health facilities, ensuring essential medicines are available, supporting maternal and child health services, and advocating for better staffing and medical equipment to improve healthcare delivery across the constituency.
Makokha has also vowed to promote transparency and accountability by maintaining close engagement with residents through regular public forums, ensuring development resources are used prudently, and involving the community in decision-making. He emphasizes servant leadership, promising to remain accessible and responsive to the needs of the people.
Overall, Joshua Makokha's manifesto presents a vision of a more prosperous, united, and inclusive Kimilili, where development reaches every ward, opportunities are expanded for all, and leadership is driven by integrity, service, and tangible results.
