EDWIN SIFUNA REMARKS AT THE LSK ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026

Edwin Sifuna, speaking during a press conference at the LSK Annual Conference 2026 in Diani, emphasized the need to protect constitutionalism, the rule of law, human rights and institutional independence.
He called on lawyers to remain firm defenders of justice and accountability, especially when public institutions or leaders face constitutional questions. He also highlighted the growing impact of artificial intelligence on legal practice, urging lawyers to embrace technology while preserving professional ethics, human judgment and responsibility.
Key message: Sifuna urged the legal profession to embrace modern technology without compromising the Constitution, justice, accountability and the independence of the legal profession.
